Ceramics Club Pot Sale

The ceramics department is hosting its annual Mother's Day pot sale, Friday and Saturday, May 7 and 8. The fundraiser will be held from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. in the ceramics lab, Palanakila Room 216.

Items for sale will include pottery from the high fire wood, soda, stoneware and raku kilns as well as the pit fire. As usual, one-quarter of the proceeds will go to the students. Ceramics professor Paul Nash emphasized the importance of the club's funding because it helps the ceramics program here at WCC.

"Education is an investment in the future of society, and that means money," says Nash. "The sale has grown in importance over the last two years as funding for the art programs has declined.

For more information about the fundraiser, contact Nash at 235-7323.
